Directions: Stove Top: Stir a cup of Flahavan’s Quick to Cook Steel Cut Oatmeal into 2 cups of cold water or milk. Bring to the boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 5-7 minutes stirring occasionally. Remove from the heat and allow to cool for 1 minute before serving. Cooking time may vary depending on the texture required.
Microwave: You can prepare Flahavan’s Quick to Cook Steel Cut Oatmeal quickly and easily in a bowl using a 900 watt microwave oven. Stir a cup of Flahavan’s Quick to Cook Steel Cut Oatmeal into 1 cups of cold water or milk in an 8 cup sized bowl (to allow for the oats to swell during cooking without spilling over). Cook for 3 minutes, remove and stir. Cook for a further 2 minutes, remove and allow to stand for 1 minute before serving. Cooking times may vary according to microwave wattage. As with any hot product, please be careful.
